The beginnings of karate in Cacak are connected with the name ZORAN PETROVIC, who became familiar with this ancient sport for the first time when he was a student in the city of Nis.
The first Karate Club in Cacak was founded on 2nd June 1970, with the name "PARTIZAN", and later, 1973, it changed its name into Karate Club "BORAC".
The first trainer club was Zoran Petrovic, first president was Pero Curovic and the first instructor Tomislav Mihajlovic. Later, new instructor became dr ILIJA JORGA, whose name has been connected with great results of the club.
The first karate match was held in Cacak, on 28th November 1970, in the honour of The Republic Day. It was the match between domestic karatists and the team of "Medicinari", Belgrade.
The first presentation for Yougoslavian national "B" team had: Zoran Petrovic, Slobodan Colovic and Srecko Jovanovic.
Simo Raicic played for Yougoslavian national "A" team, in Austria 1972.
In the first decade of the work, the following competitors gained great results: Branko Mitrovic, Ljubica Topalovic, Zorana Kojic, Gordana Negic, Radoica Vulovic, Savko Jekic, Milisav Nikolic, Tomislav Draskovic, Dobrivoje Popovic, Rade Djoković...
In the second decade of Karate Club »BORAC», on the scene, there were many old and brilliant aces, but on tatami there also were some new names, such as: Nenad Golubovic, Sladjana Despotovic, Slavica Djordjevic, Gordana Perosevic, Slavoljub Piper, Branka Gagricic, Vuceta Zornic, Milos Eric, Miroslav Jokic, Goran Maletic, Borko Vujovic, Rados Nesovanovic, Zoran D. Petrovic, Dragan Gojkovic, Zoran Vujovic, Milos Negic, Vlade Nedeljkovic, Predrag Simonovic, Vera Perisic, Gordana Tajsic...
The third decade was mark with results which are club's great proud. That were the results of already mentioned sportsmen, but on the scene also came some new names, such as: Sasa Zlatic, Boban Carapic, Nebojsa Poluzic, Zlatko Pavlovic, Marko Novcic, Novica Janjic, Nenad Acimovic, Sveto Dekovic, Lazar Carapic, Zarko Milosevic, Branko Jankovic, Milan Lazovic, Vladimir Krnjić, Milan Lakovic, Milos Popovic, Mirko Maric, Snezana Colic, Milica Nikolic, Sandra Salopek...
